Wouldn’t it be terrific if we could swing on plane all the time? We would definitely have a much better chance of hitting excellent golf shots. Even the best golfers in the world can get a little off with their swing plane; where the golf club is swinging too horizontal or too vertical of the desired swing plane.
It is imperative that the golfer understands that the swing plane affects our ball flight laws: club face, path, speed, face contact, and angle of attack.
Golf instruction should not only incorporate swinging on plane ( the proper shape) , but also get the student to understand the cause and effect relationship between swing plane and the ball flight laws.
